Detroit Lions’ left tackle Taylor Decker placed on IR, out at least one month

The Detroit Lines will reportedly stay out of their Star Left tackle for “a month”. On Saturday, the NFL Network’s Ian Report reported that the Lions placed Taylor Decker on the injured reserve after finger surgery.

Decker has been left-handed for the Lions for the past five years and was selected by Detroit within the 2016 NFL Draft as №16 outside of Ohio State. Although it’s been a continuing presence on the offensive front of the Lions, it’s a stimulating development, because it has opened the door for №7 overall Penny Seoul.

Seville has been a starter within the Lions’ right within the pre-season, but the previous left has struggled within the transition. Seoul are practicing on the left side since Decker was injured, although first-year head coach Dan Campbell has not made a proper decision on his replacement.

“I’m definitely fine (when Decker returns),” Seoul told the Detroit press. ‘I check out her, she’s sort of a model to me and that is it.’

Although the left tackle may be a difficult position for a first-year player, it’s possible that Seoul will have more success now. Either way, Lion’s head Brad Holmes isn’t worried about Seoul and its development.

“I’m sure he’ll be ready for Week 1 and that I think he’s ready now,” Holmes told the Detroit press. “Yeah, I mean, he’s browsing a traditional process that a shopkeeper will undergo, regardless of where he was drafted from.
