Bryce Harper strengthens MVP case with the monster game as Phillies make huge comeback vs. Cubs

The Phillies were down 7–0 after three innings Thursday. The Philadelphia Phillies are still alive within the postseason race. At Citizens Bank Park on Thursday night, the Fleas erased an early 7–0 deficit and beat the Chicago Cubs (box score) 17–8. The Philadelphia NL East has three games behind the Braves and a couple of 1/2 games behind the Cardinals for an additional wildcard spot with 16 games to play.
Chicago took a 7–0 lead within the third inning when six of the primary seven batsmen reached the bottom (one exception was the sacrifice of Kyle Hendricks). Matt Duffy’s three-run home run was an enormous blow. The Phillies responded together with his seven-run innings within the fourth. the choice of doubles, 3 singles, hit batsmen, a walk, and a run-scoring fielder did the trick.
